Evesham Form Guide: L, L, L, W, L

Hanwell Town welcome Worcestershire-based Evesham United to the Oliver Connell and Son Community Stadium on Saturday. Both sides have endured an up-and-down start to the season, with The Robins sitting in 14th place, while our Geordies come into the fixture in 16th. Saturday offers Hanwell the opportunity to leapfrog their opponents, with the Geordies currently sitting just two points behind Evesham, with a game in hand.

Evesham recently ended a run of six consecutive defeats with an impressive comeback against Bracknell Town, scoring in the 91st minute to complete a recovery from 2-0 down. They fared less well on Tuesday, however, falling to a 4-2 defeat against relegation strugglers Chippenham Town. The Robins will be hoping top scorer Brandon Liggett can rediscover his early-season form, while looking to attacking midfielder Thomas Conteh, who has netted twice in his last two games, to carry that form into the weekend.

Turning to the home side, Hanwell will be hoping to replicate their last home outing, a 6-1 rout of Havant & Waterlooville, the Geordies' biggest-ever Step 3 victory. Since then, away trips to Gosport and Poole have been less successful. A spirited second-half performance at Gosport couldn't quite overcome an initial 3-0 deficit, with Hanwell eventually falling to a 3-2 defeat. The Geordies will also feel that Tuesday's 3-0 defeat to Poole Town flattered the home side, with Hanwell having two goals disallowed and forcing a number of strong
saves from Poole goalkeeper Adam Parkes.

Hanwell will once again be looking to top scorer Henry Snee to build on his two goals against Havant & Waterlooville, while also hoping Jordan Esprit can celebrate his new contract with the Geordies in style. Both forwards will be hoping to exploit the visitors' leaky defence, with Evesham having conceded 32 goals in their opening 15 league games.

The Geordies came out victorious in this fixture last season, with goals from Seidou Sanogo and Henry Snee securing the win in March. Hanwell will be hoping for more of the same come Saturday.

Saturday will also provide an opportunity to welcome new boys Mehki Savage and Gabe Cuthbert to Reynolds Field. Both featured off the bench against Gosport before earning promotions to the starting XI against Poole.

With neither side having enjoyed an ideal start to the season, a win represents a great opportunity to steady the ship and allay any fears of being dragged into a relegation dogfight. Head down to UB6 this Saturday, 3pm, and get behind the Pride of Ealing!

Please arrive earlier than usual as we have our annual Remembrance Ceremony, during which the Turnstile will be closed.
