Hanwell Town 2-4 Enfield Town - Valiant Geordies Exit FA Trophy

An entertaining afternoon on Saturday (26 September 2026) in west London saw Enfield Town progress in the FA Trophy. A double from Nana Keyi and a double from Tariq Al Sadi cancelled out goals from Hanwell Town’s Jordan Esprit and Dwayne Duncan.

The game started well with both teams having chances but neither team taking them. The best chance for the home team came through Henry Snee when he beat the defender but the ball was cleared off the line. Enfield’s best chances were all squandered with a number of low crosses missing the attacker or being cleared in the box. The first half ended goalless.

Three minutes in the second half, Esprit did brilliantly to drive forward towards the box and slot home past Thompson at the near post. However, five minutes later Enfield Town equalised through a close-range tap in from Keyi. The ball was bobbling around by the post and the striker poked home.

And just minutes later, the away side went ahead. It was Keyi again that found the net after Duncan dived into a tackle on the edge of the box, creating a gap and allowing Keyi to fire home

However, the Geordies responded well and equalised through a header from Duncan in the box following a cross from Dan Carr. After equalising, the Geordies pushed hard for a winner and had all the momentum going into the end of the game.

However, five minutes from full time, Enfield’s league position prevailed when they grabbed a later winner. The substitute Al Sadi found the ball at his feet after a quick counterattack and a shot parried out by Beasant, tapping in from close range.

Finally, in the second minute of additional time, Enfield grabbed a fourth. It was a copy of the third goal, with a shot being parried out by Beasant and Al Sadi slotting home to get his second of the afternoon.

The referee brought to end an exciting game with the away side winning 2-4. Hanwell Town are next in action at home on Saturday 3rd October when they face National League South side Dover Athletic in the FA Cup.
