Callum Woodcock to leave Hanwell for Australia

Thank you Woody on a picture of Callum Woodcock

Club Stalwart and last season’s 'player of the year' Callum Woodcock will be missing from our team this season as work commitments have resulted in a move to Australia.

Callum first played for the club in the 2019/20 season, a season marred by Covid being responsible for the abandonment of the season. When the abandonment occurred the club were sitting in the league runners up spot. Callum had played regularly in the first team throughout the season.

Few games were played in the 2020/21 season and a serious pre season injury meant that he only played a few games in the 2021/22 season. In our first season at level three in non league football in 2022-23 season he played just five games.

This was increased to 19 games the following season but it is the last two seasons when Callum as a player has come to the spotlight. In 2024/2025 when we finished eighth in our highest level to date he played in 45 games scoring just once.

Remarkably in the most recent season he finished top goal scorer with ten goals a tribute to his hard working role in midfield and he deservedly was awarded the club's Player of The Year award.

Overall for the club including substitutions he has played a total of 131 games for the club scoring 12 times. His hard work in midfield will be sadly missed this coming season. May he have a great time in Australia! He will always be welcomed back should he return to the UK.
