Hanwell Town are delighted to welcome back QPR’s Development Squad, who will be playing their home fixtures in the upcoming 2025/26 season at the Oliver Connell & Son Community Stadium.
The R’s youngsters are no strangers to UB8 having previously played home fixtures at Hanwell Town but, last season, they played at Hayes & Yeading’s ground.
The Geordies have a strong relationship with the Championship club with Emmerson Sutton thriving during his loan spell last season, going on to make his Rangers debut before the campaign ended.
QPR’s Development Squad enjoyed trophy success last season, winning the PL Cup after beating Brentford in the final and will be looking to feed some of those players through into senior football.
Nigel Hunt, Hanwell Town CEO, said: "For a non-league club, having a professional club make use of our facilities provides an added benefit in seeing the ground being used and fans coming through the turnstiles. We are delighted to see QPR come back to the Connell’s Community Stadium after a year away in Hayes. We hope they are happy back here and we would welcome them for a long time to come.”
Chris Moore, Hanwell Town manager, said: “I’m delighted to see QPR make a return to the Connell’s Community Stadium. We will make sure the team are well looked after here at Hanwell and given the best possible opportunity to thrive and bridge the gap to the first team at Loftus Road. Hanwell have an excellent relationship with the club and proved last season that we can be an asset to them in giving some of their younger players some experience of senior football. We remain incredibly proud of the hand we played in Emmerson’s development into a first team player in W12.”
